“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said Donald Trump’s “cognitive decline was on full display” at a series of rallies and other events in recent days.
Colbert shared clips of the former president trying to define the word “grocery” and then trashing the city of Detroit while speaking at an event in Detroit.
“Trump also held a rally in Arizona where his brain continued to die a very public death,” Colbert said, then rolled footage of Trump seemingly attempting to shout out a group of Assyrian supporters, but struggling monumentally with the word.
“They should have given him a simpler ethnicity to pronounce,” Colbert cracked. “Like, was anyone in the crowd from grocery?”
